Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the FrameOS macOS application, the FrameOS website, direct-download licensing, software updates and related support services.
FrameOS is operated by PAUELLE LIMITED (“PAUELLE LIMITED”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
By purchasing, downloading, installing or using FrameOS, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not purchase, install or use FrameOS.
Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected and handled.
About FrameOS
FrameOS is a macOS recording and editing application for creating mobile-product demonstrations. It can record a connected iPhone, iPad or Android device, add camera and audio sources, edit recordings and screenshots, and export finished media.
FrameOS is designed to operate locally. Recordings, screenshots, camera footage, microphone audio and editing projects are processed on your Mac and are not uploaded to PAUELLE LIMITED’s licensing service.
Features may vary depending on your Mac, macOS version, connected device, camera, microphone, cable, permissions and third-party operating system support.
Eligibility
You must be legally capable of entering into a binding contract to purchase or use FrameOS.
If you use FrameOS on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf. In that case, “you” includes that organisation.
Your licence to use FrameOS
FrameOS is licensed, not sold.
Subject to payment of any applicable price and compliance with these Terms, PAUELLE LIMITED grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to install and use FrameOS within the activation limit shown at purchase or in your licence confirmation.
For direct purchases, FrameOS may require:
a valid licence key;
verification through the purchaser’s email address;
activation of individual Macs; and
periodic online licence validation.
Limited offline use may remain available between successful licence validations. A refunded, disputed, suspended or revoked licence may stop working after FrameOS next validates it.
If you acquire FrameOS through the Mac App Store, your use is also governed by Apple’s applicable App Store terms and usage rules. Where Apple’s terms apply to the store transaction or licence, those terms operate alongside these Terms.
Licence restrictions
You must not:
share, publish, sell or distribute a licence key;
use one licence on more devices or for more users than permitted;
copy, redistribute, rent, lease, sublicense or resell FrameOS;
bypass, disable or interfere with licence validation or activation controls;
attempt to obtain unauthorised access to FrameOS systems or services;
use FrameOS to break the law or infringe another person’s rights;
introduce malware or intentionally disrupt FrameOS infrastructure; or
reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble FrameOS except where applicable law expressly permits it.
These restrictions do not prevent you from exercising rights that cannot legally be restricted.
Open-source components included with FrameOS remain subject to their respective licences.
Your recordings and other content
You retain ownership of the recordings, screenshots, audio, images and other content you create or import using FrameOS.
PAUELLE LIMITED does not claim ownership of your content merely because it was created or edited using FrameOS.
You are responsible for:
ensuring that you have the necessary rights to record and use content;
obtaining any required consent from people whose image, voice or information appears in a recording;
complying with privacy, intellectual-property and employment laws;
reviewing recordings for confidential or sensitive information before sharing them; and
maintaining backups of important project and exported files.
FrameOS provides masking and editing tools, but you remain responsible for checking the final exported file before publishing or distributing it.
FrameOS is not a cloud-storage or backup service. PAUELLE LIMITED generally cannot recover projects or recordings deleted from your Mac.
Connected devices and third-party services
FrameOS relies on technologies supplied by Apple, Google, Android device manufacturers, camera manufacturers and other third parties.
A change to macOS, iOS, iPadOS, Android, device security settings, USB behaviour or third-party hardware may temporarily or permanently affect a FrameOS feature.
PAUELLE LIMITED will make reasonable efforts to maintain supported functionality but cannot guarantee compatibility with every device, operating-system version, camera, cable, virtual camera or third-party application.
You are responsible for following device setup instructions, including granting required macOS permissions and enabling USB debugging on Android when necessary.
Prices and payments
Prices are displayed before purchase and may include or exclude taxes depending on your location and the payment platform.
Direct payments are processed by Stripe or another identified payment provider. PAUELLE LIMITED does not store full payment-card numbers or card security codes.
Unless the checkout page expressly states otherwise, a direct FrameOS licence is purchased with a one-time payment rather than a recurring subscription.
Purchases through the Mac App Store are billed and administered by Apple.
PAUELLE LIMITED may change the price of FrameOS for future purchases. A price change does not create an additional charge for a completed one-time purchase.
Refund Policy
We want customers to be comfortable purchasing FrameOS. If you experience a bug, FrameOS does not meet your expectations, or you are otherwise unhappy with your purchase, you may request a refund.
How to request a direct-purchase refund
Email refunds@myemailaddress and include:
the email address used for the purchase, if different;
your order number or other purchase reference, if available; and
one or two sentences explaining what happened and why you are requesting a refund.
You do not need to prepare a detailed technical report. A short explanation is sufficient. If the request relates to a bug, any additional reproduction steps or diagnostic information are welcome but are not required to request the refund.
Processing time
We aim to review and initiate refunds within 7 working days after the request enters our operating hours.
Refund support operates from 9:00am to 5:00pm UK time on business days, excluding UK public holidays. Requests received outside those hours will be attended to from the start of the next business day.
Occasionally, processing may take longer because of business availability, the complexity of locating the transaction, suspected duplicate or fraudulent requests, or circumstances outside PAUELLE LIMITED’s reasonable control. If there is a material delay, we will provide an update where reasonably possible.
Once PAUELLE LIMITED initiates a refund, your bank, card issuer or payment provider may require additional time to return the money to your account. That external processing time is outside PAUELLE LIMITED’s control.
Refunds will normally be returned through the original payment method.
Mac App Store purchases
PAUELLE LIMITED cannot directly issue refunds for purchases processed by Apple.
For a Mac App Store purchase, you must request the refund from Apple using reportaproblem.apple.com or another refund method provided by Apple. You may still contact PAUELLE LIMITED for help identifying or resolving a FrameOS problem.
Effect of a refund
When a direct-purchase refund is issued, the associated FrameOS licence may be suspended or revoked. You must stop using the refunded direct licence and must not continue activating it on additional devices.
A refund does not automatically delete recordings, screenshots or exported files that you created before the licence was revoked.
Statutory rights
This Refund Policy is in addition to any mandatory consumer rights available under applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights where FrameOS is faulty, misdescribed, not of satisfactory quality or not fit for a purpose made known to PAUELLE LIMITED.
Software updates
PAUELLE LIMITED may provide updates that fix bugs, improve compatibility, enhance security, add features or change existing functionality.
The direct-download version may periodically contact the FrameOS update service. The Mac App Store version receives updates through Apple.
Some updates may be necessary to maintain security, compatibility or licence validation. Continued support for older versions is not guaranteed indefinitely.
PAUELLE LIMITED will not intentionally remove a material purchased capability without a legitimate technical, security, legal or product reason. Where reasonably possible, material changes will be communicated through release notes, the website or the application.
Support
Support is available through the contact information below. We aim to respond within a reasonable period, but response times are not guaranteed.
Support may require information about your Mac, operating-system version, FrameOS version, connected device or the steps that produced an error.
FrameOS can create diagnostic logs when you request them. Those logs remain on your Mac unless you choose to send them to PAUELLE LIMITED.
You should not send confidential recordings, licence keys, passwords or unnecessary personal information in a support request.
Intellectual property
FrameOS, including its software, interface, design, branding, documentation, website content and original assets, is owned by PAUELLE LIMITED or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws.
Except for the limited licence granted by these Terms, no rights in FrameOS are transferred to you.
“FrameOS” and associated branding may not be used in a way that suggests sponsorship, endorsement or affiliation without PAUELLE LIMITED’s written permission.
Feedback
If you voluntarily send suggestions, ideas or feature requests, you grant PAUELLE LIMITED permission to use that feedback to develop and improve FrameOS without payment or an obligation to implement it.
This permission does not transfer ownership of your recordings, projects or other user content.
Service availability
PAUELLE LIMITED aims to keep licensing, downloads, updates and website services available, but uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed.
Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, outages, security incidents, payment-provider issues, hosting-provider issues or circumstances outside PAUELLE LIMITED’s reasonable control.
An interruption to online services will not normally affect completed recordings or exported files stored locally on your Mac. It may temporarily affect new licence activation, licence validation, downloads or update checks.
Consumer rights and warranties
PAUELLE LIMITED will provide FrameOS with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with its published description.
However, software can contain bugs, and PAUELLE LIMITED does not promise that FrameOS will be completely error-free or compatible with every hardware and software combination.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts any warranty, remedy or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.
If FrameOS is faulty, contact us so that we can offer an appropriate remedy, which may include troubleshooting, an update, repair, replacement, price reduction or refund depending on the circumstances and applicable law.
Responsibility for loss
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits PAUELLE LIMITED’s responsibility where doing so would be unlawful, including responsibility for:
death or personal injury caused by negligence;
fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
deliberate misconduct; or
a breach of statutory consumer rights that cannot be limited.
PAUELLE LIMITED is responsible for loss or damage that is a reasonably foreseeable result of PAUELLE LIMITED breaching these Terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill.
PAUELLE LIMITED is not responsible for loss caused solely by:
unsupported hardware or software;
third-party platform or operating-system changes;
failure to maintain backups;
unlawful or unauthorised recording;
ignoring an applicable warning or setup instruction;
modifying FrameOS or its files without authorisation; or
events outside PAUELLE LIMITED’s reasonable control.
Nothing in this section prevents you from seeking a remedy available under applicable consumer law.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using FrameOS at any time and uninstall it from your Mac.
PAUELLE LIMITED may suspend or revoke a direct licence if:
the purchase is refunded, reversed or disputed;
the licence key is shared or resold;
activation controls are bypassed;
the licence is used beyond its permitted scope;
you materially breach these Terms; or
suspension is reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, abuse or a security threat.
Where appropriate and reasonably possible, PAUELLE LIMITED will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue before permanent termination.
Termination does not affect rights or obligations that arose before termination, including refund rights, payment obligations and provisions concerning intellectual property, liability and disputes.
Changes to these Terms
PAUELLE LIMITED may update these Terms to reflect changes to FrameOS, applicable law, payment arrangements or business operations.
The revised Terms will be published with a new effective date. Material changes will apply prospectively and will not remove rights that have already accrued under a completed purchase.
If a change materially affects continued use of FrameOS, PAUELLE LIMITED will provide reasonable notice where practical.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer, you retain any mandatory protections provided by the law of the country where you live. You may bring proceedings in any court that has jurisdiction under applicable consumer law.
Please contact PAUELLE LIMITED first if a dispute arises so that we can try to resolve it fairly and promptly.
